Ever since the advent of
the 20th century, more focus has been laid on character animation, that created
a wave back in the day. Though industry practices changed manifold over the
years, but concepts like the principles of Disney’s old men have survived the
ages. Animators are more focussed on conjuring perfection out of their creative
pursuits and nothing sums up creativity quite like character animation video, which
employs the best of your creative outlets coupled with skills. Putting both
together creates impeccable genius!
Three tips that might be of help to graphic designers:
1. Perfection is over-rated
Gone are the days when
people stood up and applauded perfect flow of events. The order of the day is
to fill your physical shots with a little bit of messy artistry in the form of
slips, hitches, bumps and misses. Creating a little bit of chaos adds more
retention value to the video, however, ensure that it is not unprofessional to
the eye!
2.
Shorter time duration practice sessions
The more you practice, the better you’ll get with motion graphics. The reason why you should practice shorter time duration animation is to be industry-ready. You’re more likely to get better at small shots, that would ultimately pave way for you to work on assignments that are time taking.
3.
Render only when fully prepared
Divide your work into
small fragments because many hours go wasted on assiduous “render and view”
practices. Rendering and viewing though is a good practice, but it shouldn’t be
done after creating every other shot!
There are many companies in the world that specialize in designing motion graphics. There is always an added advantage of using graphics as opposed to static media when it comes to presentations. Following the “three” commandments, helps you work to the best of your abilities as an animator.
