Animation services
were once used only to create an animation of about a few seconds. Now the
entire technique of animation has developed into something that's no less than
filmmaking and is showing countless unique aspects.
Cost and labor
intensive
Animation services
altogether form a huge industry that makes feature-length films that have
higher production costs and are extremely labor-intensive. The combination of
the two together creates magic on screen.
Difference between a
film and animation
A very notable
difference between the two is that once an animated services film begins to
start rolling, i.e, it moves into production, the cost of every shot becomes
higher than a film that's based on live-action. A director can easily ask the
DOP to take another shot if he feels a scene could be portrayed better but in
the case of animated services film, every take has to be rendered manually and
that's a tough process even though computer animation makes it a tad bit
easier.
In animation,
storyboarding is everything
Animation video services
don't have their animators do everything from scratch. If animations were made
like movies then half a dozen animators would spend weeks only to produce a
beautiful 5-minute sequence and that wouldn't do anything for the development
of the film. Such is the complexity of animation.
The job of a
storyboard artist
This is why
storyboard artists are required. These people develop every shot, every scene
with the help of storyboards. The storyboard is only given to the animators
once the entire production team decides that all the scenes, when put together,
are coherent and make complete sense.
It's easier for
live-action movies
It's not that
live-action movies aren't storyboarded. It's just that they have greater
freedom to move away from the storyboard if they think of a shot, or scene on
spot. Improvisation on spot is something that animators cannot do.
